Voici les principales \u00e9tapes du calcul de l\u2019index UV :<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Position g\u00e9ographique : Les rayons UV varient en fonction de la latitude, de l\u2019altitude et de la position g\u00e9ographique. M\u00e9t\u00e9o France utilise des mod\u00e8les num\u00e9riques prenant en compte ces informations pour chaque localit\u00e9.<\/li>\n<li>\u00c9paisseur de la couche d\u2019ozone : L\u2019\u00e9paisseur de la couche d\u2019ozone dans l\u2019atmosph\u00e8re est mesur\u00e9e par des satellites et d\u2019autres instruments de surveillance. Une couche d\u2019ozone plus mince permet aux rayons UV plus intenses d\u2019atteindre la surface de la Terre. Cette information est utilis\u00e9e pour ajuster les valeurs de l\u2019index UV.<\/li>\n<li>Couverture nuageuse : Les nuages peuvent bloquer ou att\u00e9nuer les rayons UV. M\u00e9t\u00e9o France utilise des donn\u00e9es satellitaires et des observations pour estimer la quantit\u00e9 de couverture nuageuse dans une r\u00e9gion donn\u00e9e.<\/li>\n<li>Intensit\u00e9 solaire : L\u2019intensit\u00e9 de la radiation solaire ultraviolette est mesur\u00e9e \u00e0 l\u2019aide d\u2019instruments tels que les radiom\u00e8tres. Ces mesures fournissent des indications sur l\u2019intensit\u00e9 des rayons UV en fonction de l\u2019heure de la journ\u00e9e et de la saison.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>En combinant toutes ces informations, M\u00e9t\u00e9o France est en mesure de calculer l\u2019index UV pour chaque r\u00e9gion et de fournir des pr\u00e9visions quotidiennes, g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement sur une \u00e9chelle allant de 1 \u00e0 11+ (de faible \u00e0 extr\u00eame).
